Craven makes the remarks on an upcoming Fine Living TV Network special, "Inside Haunted Hollywood," which is set to air Oct. 20. Craven was the first director to cast Depp in a movie -- the 1984 horror classic, "A Nightmare on Elm Street."

Its not surprising to find that he won't raise his children there. As a child him self he is said to have travel to have move 40 times across the country so probably he know what is America like from both the good and bad side.
